USPS always tries to put a "happy face" on their changes, but at the end of the day they're still increases for at least some of us. In reality the CBP of $0.23 for tracking was now "baked" into the base MM price. It used to be that the savings on domestic tracking was enough to justify it for us alone, but that changed last year with the addition of "free" tracking to Media Mail. Post Office is also closed Monday, but that doesn't mean people stop shipping! Our understanding is that the international label/customs form is also changing on Sunday.Īnyhow, with Stamps if you do sufficient volume per month the CBP savings will pretty easily cover the $15.99/mo. 18th for MLK day which is kind of unfortunate timing with the new rates going into effect on Sunday. Just saw that their support is closed on Monday Jan.
We've been using for about 3 years now and aside from a few nagging bugs in their software, we've liked it. If PayPal still has access to CBP discounts for Priority, I'll probably stick with getting most of my postage through them and just buy as needed from for the random international orders. I don't think I'll use enough of Priority or First Class International services to have enough savings to offset the monthly Endicia charge.Īlso, for any current Endicia users, is there any truth to heavy media mail users getting limited as they aren't generating sufficient fees for the service? Also, using Priority Mail only comes up maybe once a quarter. With the USPS increases coming for ex-US postage, I am assuming my international orders are going to dry up even more. I'm shipping 30 orders +/- a month right now, 95 percent domestic US. I think the only reason I'm looking at Endicia is their access to Commercial Based Pricing forward going. Any US sellers looking at switching to Endicia or other online postage purchasing channel? I currently use PayPal for Media and Priority postage and for First Class International Package postage.
